Spanning over 500 hectares, it features impressive walls and gates, showcasing traditional Vietnamese architecture. Visitors can explore various palaces, temples, and gardens that reflect the grandeur of the imperial era.

When planning your visit, consider joining a guided tour to gain deeper insights into the history and significance of the site. The best time to visit is during the dry season from November to April, when the weather is more pleasant for exploration.

Don't miss the Forbidden Purple City, which was once reserved for the emperor and his family. Although much of it is in ruins, it remains a poignant reminder of the past. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing a fair amount of walking on uneven surfaces.

For a complete experience, combine your visit to the Imperial City with a stroll along the Perfume River, where you can enjoy scenic views and local street food.
