How it works
DIFF is a month-long competition: international teams from countries like France, Italy, and China each stage a themed fireworks display over the Han River, judged on choreography and artistry. The 2026 edition ran May 30–July 11; the 2027 dates are expected in the same summer window and are announced in spring.
Where to watch
The best seats are along Tran Hung Dao street and the Han River promenade, or from river cruises that run during the festival. The Dragon Bridge and bridges downstream offer free standing views, though they fill early.
Planning your visit
Book hotels early — the city is packed on competition nights. Arrive two hours ahead for riverside spots, carry water, and use ride-hailing apps rather than driving. Combine it with beach time at My Khe during the day.
